Silt Traps are normally installed in areas where high silt run off can occur such as at car & truck washes.  The BMS range of GRP Silt Traps provides a simple and effective solution that prevents the grit/silt from blocking gullies and pipes in areas in which vehicles are being washed.  BMS Silt Traps are available in a variety of sizes to suit your requirements.

Why do you need a silt trap?

The advent of the latest technology in vehicle washing equipment has created the problem of increasing quantities of grit and silt being generated, which result in blockages of gullies and drainage systems. The BMS Silt Trap range is the answer to this problem.

Made from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) in accordance with BS 8301:1985, they are light and durable and suitable for quick and easy installation, thus minimising labour costs.

They are supplied complete with a heavy duty frame and removable galvanised steel grid to enable easy access for sediment removal. The trap is reinforced with an angular steel frame for additional strength and to provide good adhesion to concrete. It is rot proof, impact resistant and resistant to all normal forecourt liquids.
