BMS design/manufacture a comprehensive range of completely pre-fabricated GRP (Fibreglass) Holding Tanks or Storage Tanks from 1000 l – 100,000 l capacity. A large range of chemical resistant coatings are also available. BMS Holding/Storage Tanks can be used to store/hold water, sewage, wastewater and abrasive liquids. The tanks are also suitable as water storage tanks for firefighting, for surface water management e.g. attenuation and SuDS and for rain water harvesting. The tanks save the cost of constructing concrete tanks on site and are ‘delivered to site’ completely ‘ready to go’.

The stations are pre-fitted in our factory and are delivered to site ‘ready to go’. This avoids costly fitting out on site, confined space working and provides for a swift and easy installation. BMS Holding Tanks are manufactured to customer requirements e.g. custom pipe inverts/sizes/types, internal pipework e.g. galvanised steel/electrofusion/ductile iron and pump fittings (if required) e.g. guiderails/non-return valves/stop valves etc. A range of holding/storage tanks configurations are available; Vertical up to 25,000 l & Horizontal up to 100,000 l. A steel reinforced GRP option is also available that can be placed above/below ground without a concrete surround and is fully portable.

Types of Liquid Holding/Storage Tanks
1. Vertical Holding/Storage Tanks
Vertical Holding/Storage Tanks are available in a range of sizes from 1000 l - 25,000 l capacity. These tanks are an increasingly popular alternative to traditional concrete in situ concrete pump stations, which require fitting out on site.
2. Horizontal Holding/Storage Tanks
Horizontal Holding/Storage Tanks are a great option for storing any liquids including abrasive liquids. They are primarily used for sewage, wastewater and water storage so are ideal for rainwater harvesting, storing sewage/wastewater/process water and are also as firefighting tanks along as attenuation for surface water.
3. Steel Reinforced Portable Above/Below Ground Holding/Storage Tanks
BMS Steel Reinforced Holding/Storage Tanks can be placed above or partially/fully below ground without the need for a concrete surround. They are an ideal solution especially when a temporary/emergency/semi-permanent liquid holding/storage solution is required e.g. storing sewage on site, as a mobile holding/storage tanks or as a mobile pump station portable solution is required. BMS Steel Reinforced Pumps Stations can be moved from site to site on the back of a standard truck and have an expected lifespan of 25+ years.
4. Chemical Resistant Holding Tanks
BMS can provide custom coatings to its storage tanks are resistant to practically any abrasive liquid. The tanks are suitable for many different applications and can be treated internally to endow chemical resistance to acids, alkalis (bases), oxidising agents and salts etc. if required. Installation
BMS Holding/Storage Tanks are completely pre-fabricated and delivered ‘ready to go’ so siteworks are minimal; placing the station in a suitably sized excavation, connecting the inlet/outlet pipes & electrical ducts. BMS Holding/Storage Tanks only require a complete a 225 mm of lean mix concrete surround and an appropriate non-weight bearing slab on top to suit the loading. The steel framed version does not require a concrete surround above/below ground.
