Package Sewage Treatment System Case Studies

Case Study on Beaufort Institute Temporary WWTP DBO

Project Overview:

BMS Design Details: University College Cork in conjunction with iMERC developed the Beaufort Marine Research facility, located adjacent to the existing National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. As part of the development a temporary above ground package Wastewater Treatment Plant was required to treat the sanitary wastewater from the Beaufort facility for approximately a three year period until the new local authority sewage treatment plant was completed. The effluent was being pumped up stream to a pump sump in an adjoining property before being pumped onto the local authority sewer. A very strict outlet effluent standard was required from the Blivet.
