Surface & Stormwater Management Design Software
BMS have also invested in state of the art drainage/SuDS design software which allows us to fully design surface and storm water management systems for our clients from the ground up, which complies with Sustainable urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) regulations.
Why surface and stormwater design is required on new sites.
John Lee, BMS Surface Water specialist, commented that all new developments must take into account any additional surface water flows generated by the development and install measures to mitigate these storm flows e.g. attenuation/infiltration systems, along with water protection systems such petrol/oil interceptors/separators, silt traps and vortex oil/silt separators.
The general principle of surface water management is that the storm water runoff post development is equal or better than that pre-development. Calculating this storm water runoff and devising appropriate ways to manage it can be complex and require specialist knowledge. Therefore, in response to customer requests BMS have invested in the area in the form of our new design Engineer and specialist surface and storm water management software. This a free service available to Consulting Engineers and other designers in the area.
BMS One Stop Shop for surface and storm water management
BMS are a 32 year old manufacturer of products for surface water and wastewater treatment. The majority of BMS products are manufactured in its ISO 9001 Quality factory in Longford, Ireland. BMS are uniquely able to offer a ‘one stop shop’ for all surface water products from design to installation including attenuation, interceptors, holding tanks (incl. chemical resistant), hydrobrakes, rainwater harvesting tanks/filters & vortex silt separators, chlorine contact tanks, fully fitted pumps and sumps and much more.
