This is my first post as part of our new education blog which will be focusing on all areas of package wastewater and surface water treament. The aim of the blog will be to explain different elements of the waste/surface water treatment process/terminology in easy to understand bite size chunks.
Our initial focus will be on the different elements of package sewage treatment, which will be updated every 1 – 2 weeks.
The first thing we will focus on is Sewage Parameters, the first of which will be BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand).
Over the next few months I will explain the following terms and what it means in terms of package sewage or wastewater treatment:
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand)
Suspended Solids (SS)
Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
Population Equivalent (PE)
Total Nitrogen (N)
If you have any specific queries or there is any topics you would like explored, please do not hesitate to contact me, Tommy.
