BMS were presented with their OHSAS 18001:2008 Healthy & Safety Certification by Minister for Small Business, John Perry TD, at an NSAI awards ceremony on Wednesday last, May 22nd, 2013.
Sales Director; Tommy Butler and Production/Quality Manager; Dave Gannon attended the large ceremony on Butler Manufacturing Services (BMS) Ltd. behalf. When asked what OHSAS Certification means to BMS, Mr. Butler commented ‘OHSAS certification means that the serious emphasis that BMS place on Health & Safety in both our manufacturing plant and on site is formally recognised. The continuous improvement aspects of the certification mean that a proactive approach is taken to Health & Safety in BMS. OHSAS certification is increasingly a requirement when working for government organisations such as local authorities and when conducting work on live construction sites. It also demonstrates the safety standards that exist in BMS to organisations such as the Health & Safety Authority (HSA), whose CEO, Martin O’Halloran has endorsed the OHSAS certification process.’
BMS also have had an NSAI accredited ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System in place since 1995.
